Mobilis 2011 edition:
Mobility all inclusive
The rise in petrol prices, increasing urban congestion, an ageing population and the evolution of mindsets has brought about a fundamental change in the way we consider the car. Once an absolute must-have, the car has now become just another link in the mobility chain. Services are the new focus – driven by the influx of new technologies, they have opened up an enormous number of new possibilities for leveraging mobility.
These new services have to include the human factor, electric, communicating and fully automatic vehicles, smartgrids, regulatory developments, as well as environmental and energy considerations.
Sociological factors need to be integrated at the design stage in order to overcome possible consumer reticence to new mobility solutions.
On the programme of the 2011 Encounters:
- Round tables: discussions led by expert panellists
- Workshops: discussions on a technical theme
- 3 plenary sessions
- An exhibition area showcasing the latest developments in urban mobility
