Open Space
Urban mobility: What decisions and actions need to be taken to change paradigm ?
When : Wednesday, November 18, 14.00 - 18.00Where : Open Space area
Who : Everybody can attend, regardless of his/her profession or field of activity. The event is open to all Mobilis 2009 visitors, speakers, exhibitors, invited experts.
How does the Open Space work?
Together the attendees will set up the afternoon programme, basing on expertise or projects which some of them would like to present in 1-hour sessions.
Sequence of the afternoon
- Presentation meeting : All participants gather in a circle, with no hierarchic distinction. The moderator gives a short explanation on how the session will work
- Session proposals : The participants propose subjects for the different sessions. The subjects are handwritten on paper. The papers are stuck on a wall, mentioning the time and place of the session.
- Participant registration : The participants go to the sessions of their choice.
- Running of the sessions : The participants can stay in the same session, switch from one session to another, or start spontaneous discussions at the bar.
- Sum-ups : A volunteer takes notes during the sessions and their conclusions.
- Closing : The last session is a debrief of the afternoon sessions, where sum-ups will be made available to the participants.
