Florent Petit
FC LAB
Florent Petit is in charge, since 2008, of the institute FC Lab, national common laboratories created in Belfort by several research institutions to develop research on the integration, the sustainability and the reliability of fuel cell systems in an application environment, including vehicle. Bringing together more than 10 years experience, the institute has conducted more than 20 projects with the industry, either collaborative, bilateral, national or European. FC Lab has moreover supported 20 Ph.D.
Florent Petit also leads the CNRT Inéva, an organisation which links companies, institutes and local authorities in order to propose steps towards the industrial development around hydrogen energy. On behalf of “pôle Véhicule du futur”, he drives the technical workshop on the subject. He participates in the work for the Implementing agreement annex “Advanced Fuel cells” of the International Energy Agency.
Chief engineer in the arms industry, he worked for the DGA (Direction Général de l’Armement) between 1998 and 2004. Florent Petit elaborated and ran several R&D programs and helped developing the technology strategy in the field of operational airborne equipments. Florent Petit has an engineering degree from the Ecole Polytechnique and the ENSTA, he also holds a Ph.D from the Paris XI Orsay University on solid-state physics.
